Hey, You did a lot of beautiful words here. We love the topic. Excellent stuff
Afreen, I just came across your blog through WAPPP’s website and I wanted to share how immensely I have enjoyed it. Your photos are absolutely stunning – I can’t believe some of those images are real. Really one of the best blogs I have seen like this.
I did the NGK fellowship in the summer of 2007 in Liberia and really loved the experience. I never would have blogged were it not required, and it turned out to be a great experience. But you have really taken it to a whole new level!
I hope your summer in Afghanistan was as fascinating as it appears to be.
Warm wishes,
Molly
Wow, Molly thank you so much! I really appreciate your support, and did indeed have a fascinating/unique experience this summer.
Afreen:
I enjoyed your photos and your blog posts. I’ve been writing a blog to stop the war(s) for the past year or so: http://outofcentralasianow.wordpress.com/ The Afghani people have suffered for many years, caught in the middle of “the great game”, the fight for minerals and oil pipelines, and for control the “democratically elected govermnent” to heed our will. Thanks for your dedication to elevating women’s rights and gender equality and for your insights and photographs. Be well and happy, may Peace be with you. John
Afu!

very much enjoying http://nothingcannothappen.wordpress.com as well mike! you’ve a gift for style.
Afreen,
It’s very exemplary work and photos. You have distinguished yourself very well from the masses. I can see that with time you will make a mark in your selected field. You dared to land there with so much going on lately. Through your reports and pictures we can feel the pulse of Kabul. I reviewed your Blog and its contents and I am overly impressed. Its contents can easily be turned into a very good book and I am sure the publishers will be glad to publish it.
Best wishes in your summer project and exploration of woman’s rights in Afghanistan. Enjoy the scenic sights and keep us posted.
thank you very much – I appreciate the kind words

Hey!
starting up this little side biz doing dynamic slideshows for various events and thought about the great footage you’re probably going to get on your trip. once you’re back…i would love to do something with any photos, sound bytes, or video that you shoot. it would be some great practice for me and we could do it in such a way that you could use it as a promotional video (like for a talk you might give or even as an engaging way to document your time in A-stan).
its something to keep in mind and i guess we can talk more about it once your back. def try to take as many pictures, video clips, and sound bytes as you can (which i’m sure you are already doing)!!!
I like the new addition in your blog.
Naheed,
